Vickie Morris was chosen April 19 by the Thomasville City Board of Education as the new superintendent of Thomasville City Schools. The special called board meeting was held in the Thomasville High School library.
The vote was unanimous of all five school board members.
Morris will be the first woman to serve as Thomasville City School Superintendent.
She currently serves as principal of Thomasville Elementary School.
