April Bouler has been named as the new Assistant Principal at Thomasville High School.

She has recently served as an Instructional Coach at Thomasville Middle School.

“I’m grateful as well as honored to be able to serve students, teachers, and the community as the Assistant Principal of THS,” Bouler said. “I am excited to embark on this journey and to have been given this opportunity to impact the lives and educational careers of our children.”

She has served the Thomasville City Schools District for 18 years. She is a native of Thomasville and a 2000 graduate of Thomasville High School.

She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education and a Masters in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama in Livingston.

She also served on the ACAP Summative English Language Arts Review Committee and previously worked on a state math task force team.

Bouler has previously taught kindergarten, first grade, and sixth grade, and served as the Thomasville school system Math Coach for five years.

“This is home for me,” she said. Bouler had the benefit of working under Helen Stephens, former principal at TES, and she named former teachers Carolyn Gaines and Janet Anderson as mentors early on in her career. She is married to Kendrick Bouler. He is a loader driver at Clarke County Pole and Piling.

When not working, she likes to read and spend time with her family.

“I look forward to working with the faculty and staff to move Thomasville City Schools forward. Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger!”
