Members of the Thomasville City Board of Education voted June 14 on various personnel decisions.
The board meeting was held in the Thomasville High School library. It was the first meeting for new board member Dwight Figgers.

In other action from the June 14 meeting, Anjelica Gibson, Chief School Financial Officer, presented the Financial Report for May 2023. Accounts payable totaled $249,427.84, and payroll totaled $923,646.09.
• The board approved a $327,000.00 bid from Harris Contracting for lighting upgrades at the THS baseball field.
• Meeting dates for 2023-2024 were approved.
• Davis was chosen as the board president for 23-24, and Williams was chosen as vice president.
• The next board meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on July 11 in the THS library.
