New times for "Meet the Teacher" Friday, Aug. 6 at TES
Tuesday, Aug. 10 is the first day for students at Thomasville Elementary School. TES staff encourages late arrival (8:30 a.m.) for all Kinder students and new students. Kinder students will meet their teachers in front of the school for a group photo - then will dismiss to their classrooms. All new students will be taken to their teacher by a TES staff member.
Following is "Back to School Guidance" for the 2021-2022 school year - based on recommendations from the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
The Pre-K program at Thomasville Elementary School will host orientation through Zoom meetings. Parents can choose between a meeting at 10 a.m. or 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5. Links for the meeting will be posted Aug. 4.
The TES PTO will be selling T-shirts on Wednesday, Aug. 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the front foyer.

Head Start parent orientation will be held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 10 in the Head Start classroom at Thomasville Elementary School.
The Head Start class at Thomasville Elementary School is currently full. However, you may still join the waitlist by applying at www.grecs.org.
The schedule has been released to pickup Chromebook laptop computers.
All Chromebooks are issued through the second floor technology room at TMS. Students of any grade level may pickup during any of the scheduled times.
Also, fill out the laptop agreement form.
The official Thomasville Elementary School T-shirt for 2021-2022 will be available at all TES orientations: Aug. 4-6 and Aug. 9. The shirt is grey with maroon design. Regular and dri-fit is $14.

Wellness Support Night for the Thomasville City Schools District will be held at 5 p.m. on July 7 in the THS cafeteria.
A special called meeting of the Thomasville Board of Education will be held at 6 p.m. on June 29 in the THS library. The public is invited. The meeting will be live streamed on the "Thomasville Tiger Nation" Facebook page.
Offices in the Thomasville City Schools District will be closed Monday, July 5 in recognition of the July 4 holiday.
