The THS varsity softball team lost 9-2 to Opp May 8 at the South Regional Tournament in Gulf Shores. J’mya Moore had a home run. Thomasville will begin play at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

ATTENTION: There will be no classes for Thomasville City Schools on Tuesday, May 14. Thomasville High School Baseball will be playing for the 3A State Championship. Classes will not be made up!

The THS Tigers softball team beat Flomaton 18-1 May 8 at the South Regional Tournament in Gulf Shores.

Athletic Physicals Free athletic physicals for girls and boys in the Thomasville City School system, grades 6-11, are scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Thomasville Regional Medical Center (TRMC). Athletes must have their physical form completed and signed by a parent/guardian and returned to the school nurse as soon as possible so the pre-physical assessment can be completed at school before next Wednesday. Contact the school if you have any questions.

The THS Tigers varsity baseball team swept Providence Christian with a 6-2 victory May 7 in the second game of the fourth round of the state playoffs in Dothan. Next, they travel to the state title series Monday and Tuesday at Jacksonville State in Jacksonville. More details later.

The team will play Tuesday, May 7 at Providence Christian in Dothan (4847 Murphy Mill Road). Ball field is on campus. Games Tuesday will be at 5 and 7:30 p.m. with an "if necessary" game at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8. Tickets are available at gofan.co or at the gate with credit/debit card.
