James Boyett, Director of Bands

Mr. Boyett is a native of Hamilton, Alabama, where he attended Hamilton High School. Mr. Boyett attended The University of North Alabama, where he completed his Bachelors degree in music education in December 2005, and his Master of Arts in Music Education in July 2009. While attending the University of North Alabama, Mr. Boyett performed with the UNA Pride of Dixie Marching Band, the UNA Concert Band, and the UNA Wind Symphony, as well as the UNA brass ensemble, and trombone quartet. Mr. Boyett is a member of the Alabama Music Educators' Association, the National Association for Music Educators, the Alabama Educators' Association, and the National Educators' association. In December 2014, Mr. Boyett was named as the musical director of the Flying Bricks Community Band in Thomasville, Alabama.
